William James Middle School is a middle school located in Fort Worth, Texas.

James, which covers grades 6 through 8, is a part of the Fort Worth Independent School District. It also contains a magnet school that draws "gifted and talented" students from across the city.

School hours: 9:20 a.m.-4:20 p.m.

There are 62 current teachers, with a teacher to pupil ratio of 17:1.

Currently, 1060 students.

Mascot is the Mighty Bear, with representing school colors of white and orange.

Currently, the principal is Rian Townsend.

The 6th grade assistant principal is Ms. WIlliams, the 7th grade assistant principal is Mr. DeLaFlor and the 8th grade assistant principal is Mr. Bohanon.

WJMS offers a wide variety of sports, ranging from 7th to 8th grade. There is girls/boys cross country, girls/boys basketball, boys football, and girls volleyball. 6th, 7th, and 8th grade offers Whiz Quiz (technically, it's not a sport, but it's still some competition) and many more challenging competitions. Whiz quiz is a competition to see which school can answer the most questions in a round with a time limit..

Starting back in 1998, William James students must follow a strict dress code: White/Navy blue collar shirt; black or solid blue jeans/skirts/shorts. [1].
