William C. Davis (historian)

William C Davis is currently a professor of history at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Davis has been nominated for Pulitzer Prize for History twice. He has won the Jefferson Davis Award (awarded for works on Confederate history) three times. In addition, he has consulted for Arts & Entertainment Network/History Channel series "Civil War Journal" among other television productions. Davis has written over 40 books.
