William A. Barclay

William A. Barclay represents District 124 in the New York State Assembly, which includes large portions of Oswego and Onondaga counties.

Elected in 2002, he is a partner in the law firm of Hiscock and Barclay, specializing in Business Law. He is also a board member of Panthus Corporation and QMP Enterprises, Inc.

He is a graduate of St. Lawrence University and of Syracuse University School of Law. After graduating from law school he served as a clerk for Roger Miner, a judge in the United States Court of Appeals Second Circuit, in both Albany and New York City. He ran as the Republican nominee in the special election for the 48th district of the New York State Senate previously held by James W. Wright who resigned, but was defeated by his Democratic opponent.
