[edit] Biography

Will Currie & the Country French was originally conceived in the early part of 2006 as a few songs written in a small glass room in the basement of the Music Faculty at Wilfrid Laurier University. Will later assembled a small troupe of friends (and luckily wicked-bad musicians) to form an actual band. They began to tour around southern Ontario and over the course of a year, developed a fair amount of indie-buzz and an enthusiastic cult following. Their piano pop and energetic stage shows have resulted in packed clubs and dance parties wherever they play. The band is currently putting the finishing touches on their debut EP A Great Stage which is set to be released in early 2008 under the label Murderecords.
