[edit] Photies

Nice work. Not sure how best to do this, but would it be possible to include a reference to the other shots of the tearooms which I've now recategorised as commons:Category:Willow Tearooms. Must get a move on with Kate! ...dave souza, talk 17:17, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

Done ... added {{Commonscat}}. I've also added some extra drawings and artwork that I found via the excellent Hunterian Gallery search facility. --Cactus.man 09:27, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Recent history

This may be OR, but I remembered going through Daly's ladies underwear section to get to their Room de Luxe. Have found confirmation on these websites: Scran and Success Stories. Note that the latter spells the name Anne Mulhern, but I've not seen other confirmation of the spelling. sunnygovan was interesting, but looks unreliable. The architects and other info came from McKean's book as cited. Also, I remember looking at clocks and the like displayed by Hendersons on the gallery before that was again brought into use as a tearoom. Have included a photo which isn't pristine, but shows the relationship of the shop to the gallery balustrade ..dave souza, talk 17:46, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

Some excuse for traversing the ladies underwear Dave ... not much use for lumberjacks in Sauchiehall Street though :-). Mulhern is correct though, I think a typo on my part when writing the original draft. Correct spelling also confirmed by the Scotsman article, I have corrected it. Thanks also for fixing up the history after the tearooms changed hands, it was all a bit vague before. --Cactus.man 18:03, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
