Talk:Willow Creek Association

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An article on the Willow Creek Association is not the place to discuss the issues around seeker-sensitive churches. In addition, the links (including the apparently innocuous seekersensitive.com) all criticize seeker-sensitive churches, and the harsher ones denounce Willow Creek as an anti-Christian sham. Discussion of the controversy surrounding the seeker-sensitive movement should go in an article on the topic (something that doesn't seem to exist right now). I didn't want to edit without giving the author a chance to respond, but some changes need to be made. Atterlep 14:52, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

Criticism section is tied to Willow Creek philosophy. WCA, per its description, is not promoting a Willow Creek philosophy. The criticism section should be removed or updated with accurate criticism.

The references related to Purpose Driven were removed as they do not relate in any way to the WCA. Also, this criticism does not follow W:NPOV. CarverM (talk) 04:36, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Criticism paragraph - irrelevant to this article?

Have any of those authors have written about WCA specifically?. As the above editors have noted, their writings about seeker sensitive churches in general or Willow Creek Community Church in particular are more relevant to those articles than this one. I think the second paragraph should be removed unless citations can be found that specifically refer to the association. Since this article has been marked NPOV, I'm putting this up for discussion (otherwise I would just WP:BB :-) Natebailey (talk) 10:42, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

I would concur with Natebailey. This criticism should not be in the WCA section. CarverM (talk) 02:16, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
