There is an awful lot of references and notes in the original Britannica article, which really impede the flow of the text. I've chosen to shift them to the bottom where I feel it is appropriate. Some of them are probably worthless, but I haven't deleted any, yet. Ephemera 23:57, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
