[edit] His Australian sojourn and the Wollongong connection
I don’t know much about this, except that apparently he came to live here for a time, specifically in Wollongong, of all places. He also apparently taught at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. But we need more details – dates, etc. And why such (as far as the musical world is concerned, anyway) an out-of-the way place as Wollongong? Here are some sources -

For general info (no change required):
A birth year of 1903 is sometimes encountered in the literature, but it seems 1904 is correct. His centenary was celebrated in 2004 at the at the XXXII International Viola Congress in Minneapolis [4]. -- JackofOz (talk) 16:33, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
