In looking around, I found this that makes it look like his middle initial was M and not J. I'll see what else I can find... Slambo (Speak) 11:38, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Several other court records that I found today say his name is William M. Gibbons, so I'll do the move and add the refs as appropriate. Slambo (Speak) 13:53, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

There's a bunch of references to court records, a couple books and a scholarly journal. Notability is assuredly asserted now. Slambo (Speak) 14:14, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
