The recent extensive history added to the article by 99.201.202.198 appears to have been added verbatim from a very outdated source. While the information is valuable, such non sequiturs as "His death occurred there in 1909, at the age of seventy-three years. His wife, who was born and reared in Springfield, Illinois, is a daughter of Jules A. La Barthe, who was born in Bordeaux, France, and came to the United States sometime in the '40s. She is still living and makes her home with her children." That is simply untrue today, in 2008! Also, the latest date mentioned in the outdated verbatim was in 1926. Steele died in 1949, and there was no mention of this. In fact, the verbatim spoke of him in the present tense as being currently living and active! The useful information needs to be extracted and reworked into original prose. Alternatively, a link to the original source might be appropriate. Jerry picker (talk) 18:40, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
