That's funny, I thought that articles being a year and a half old weren't eligible for DYK.... --JohnDBuell 02:19, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
DYK admits articles that are new or were expanded significantly within the last 5 days. Until 31 October, this article had only 5 sentences. -- ALoan (Talk) 10:07, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

Was he born in '25 or '26? imdb biography says latter, which makes him 80: BBC obit says he was 81. Morwen - Talk 09:55, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

I checked out Ancestry.com 1925 & 1926 for a Birth Certificate number, but no luck. Was William Franklyn his real name?--IsarSteve 10:04, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

The three broadsheet obits say 1925. -- ALoan (Talk) 12:01, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
Ok, good enough for me then, especially against IMDB. Morwen - Talk 13:16, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Master Spy

He was the host of a 70s gameshow called Master Spy. He was known as the Major, I think. He had a sidekick called "Moneypacker" (obviously a parody of Bond's "Moneypenny"). Contestants had to solve logic/code-breaking etc problems to win.

I can't remember much more than this otherwise I would have added to the main article. Someone with a better memory than I ought to put something in the main article. GavinTillman 08:24, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
