[edit] Coat of Arms

Just to note. William Clito if he bore any arms at all (which is not yet proven) would have used the fabled gyronny shield with an inescutcheon. The Lion was only introduced by one of the suceeding rulers of Flanders. If I still remember this issue tommorrow I will start stripping pre-heraldic counts of Flanders of their inapropriately attributed arms. I thought we'd solved this a while back.--Caranorn (talk) 22:32, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
