Please refer to the wikipedia Autobiography, Notability and Conflict of Interest policies. -Taco325i 03:21, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

I concede the point that autobiography is undesirable in Wikipedia, and I therefore retract this particular entry. Delete away. William.snyder 17:57, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

It's frowned upon, but it's not prohibited. If you have any publications or if you have been mentioned in any publications, you should include it in the article. Otherwise, you could include that info in your user page, which appears to be blank right now. -Taco325i 18:01, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

At this point, I'd be willing to allow this user time to satisfy WP:N with, preferably, uninvolved third-party help. RadioKirk (u|t|c) 21:41, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

I've added some relevant information to my user page, such as the fact that I've authored over 50 ::refereed publications, many of which are extensively cited in the linguistics literature, often by linguists (such as Noam Chomsky, Steven Pinker, Lydia White, and Ray Jackendoff) who are sufficiently prominent to have their work discussed more extensively in Wikipedia... I don't feel very comfortable with this situation, though, so I'd prefer to leave it to others to decide what (if anything) should be said about me in Wikipedia. The article now includes two sources (Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education). Is it possible to eliminate the flag at the top of the article that says it does not cite any references or sources? William.snyder 16:26, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

Question: What's the best way to introduce disambiguation from the photographer William Snyder? At present, searching for 'William Snyder' yields only the photographer's article. William.snyder 17:21, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

You have to go to the other William Snyder article and place the following on the top of the page:
{{otherpeople4|the photographer|the linguistics professor|William Brandon Snyder}}
