[edit] Paris Exposition

Article say he was US rep to Paris exposition of 1888, but WP does not indicate an exposition in 1888. There was one in 1889. Please check and correct. Thanks Hmains 18:31, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

There are two references in the list (Eicher & Warner) that agree with each other and say 1888. Perhaps they meant that he served on the planning committee in 1888 for the 1889 exposition, but since neither reference is specific about that, I changed it to 1889. He was named as commissioner in June 1888 according to his biographer and local records here in the York County Heritage Trust, following his retirement from Colt. I have amended the wording. Scott Mingus 12:30, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
