Talk:Will Shafroth

[edit] Notability
I'm not sure what to say when it comes to the last edit concerning notability. Shafroth is someone running for the United States House of Representatives. In addition, he is one of the top Democratic contenders in a district where Democrats have a 20k voting advantage. No Republican has even expressed their interest in running in this district. Shafroth is a direct descendant of a previous Governor of Colorado (I really don't understand why that was deleted). His name has frequently been in local papers regarding his conservation work. If major party politicians running for Congress are not considered "notable" then I guess I was mistaken as to what the rules are.—Preceding unsigned comment added by JosephKnecht (talk • contribs)
- The idea is that the Wikipedia article should reflect what has been published about Mr. Shafroth in sources independent of him and of his affiliations. The Boulder Daily article you provided is something we can work with, as it contains some material about him. The Denver Post article doesn't seem even to mention his name. Thank you for providing those sources, and to show notability, please look for more independent sources that we can use to fill up an article on him. Pan Dan 19:54, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
The Post article lists him third as potential candidates for CD-2. I will add more sources like newspapers to show information, but one problem I am running into is the fact that many of the stories about him are more than a few months old and no longer in these paper's archives. I know they exist, but it is difficult to find a copy to link to. Regardless, I'll put more sources like that up.
