[edit] WikiProject Hungary discussion at Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals
- Description
- an expansion of the now-inactive and very small-scoped Wikipedia:WikiProject Historical Hungarian counties, using the original framework but expanding to include other things in this populous and unique European nation. There is an existing Wikipedia:WikiProject Hungarian culture, the national project would seek to cover other topics-politics, biography, flora and fauna... Chris 08:01, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

- The scope of the Historical Hungarian counties project is now covered within the Austria-Hungary subdivisions work group of WikiProject Former countries. The Hungarian culture WikiProject is more than welcome to work on an expanded scope relating to the Hungarian counties in cooperation with the work group. It is also warmly welcome to cooperate with the Austria-Hungary task force on all articles relating to Hungarian culture and history. -- Domino theory 22:21, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

- It certainly sounds like both of those projects should be merged to WP:HUNGARY / Wikipedia:WikiProject Hungary. I'd also suggest tying that together with Wikipedia:Hungarian Wikipedians' notice board.-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk 18:50, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Greetings from the Opera Project
I wonder if there is anyone here who is interested in Hungarian operetta? We are hoping for help with articles on the works of Jenő Huszka (1875-1960), Emmerich Kálmán (1882-1953), and Victor Jacobi (1883-1921). Thanks. -- Kleinzach 06:28, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Help at Magyaristani
Someone tagged this article for speedy delete. But it's constested. Can a neutral and knowledgeable person review it, leaving notes on the talk page about this issue. I'm an admin trying to make a fair decision.Rlevse 18:21, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Bryan Cartledge
John Lukacs has a very positive review of Bryan Cartledge's The Will to Survive: A History of Hungary in the December 2007 issue of Harper's. The book apparently covers cultural as well as policital history and Lukacs (a native Hungarian) seems very impressed with the Englishman's mastery of Hungarian language and literature. Not particularly my area, and I'm not likely to read the book in the near future which is exactly why I am passing this on, hoping that some Wikipedian more focused in this area will do so. - Jmabel | Talk 04:09, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hungarian comics
Today I created the article, Hungarian comics. Could it be part of the Hungarian culture project? Zoli79 (talk) 12:54, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
