[edit] Image used for project templates

I think you need to find a silhouette of a horse to use for your WP tags. The pic you are using looks like the epicenter of a bomb strike.--Bedford 03:18, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

Yeah I know :P I have a horse somewhere, but I haven't processed it or uploaded it. If anyone can get one faster, feel free to update the template or message me if you need assistance. Seicer (talk) (contribs) 03:27, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

I recommend you drive up Paris Pike from Lexington (I no longer live there). On the right are some great stone walls, horses, and rolling hills. It's the epitome of bluegrass. I used to have some good photos of the region that I took to show my parents what it looked like, but I've misplaced them and for some reason they were on film and not digital. On my talkpage I have an image of a stonewall running between a highway and a field that might be useful. It was taken near Shakertown if my memory is correctly. --FloNight 17:56, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

I am trying to find someone somewhere who can tell me how to get my college transcripts from Southeastern Christian College, that was located in Winchester, KY until it folded in the 1970'sYackysback 14:22, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Pages catalogued for this project

As far as I'm concerned, it would be all right if this project superseded WikiProject Kentucky on those articles/templates/categories that apply to this project. There's really no need for "dual citizenship" in both projects. Besides, the Kentucky project is covering almost 2,000 pages -- it would be nice to pare this down a bit. Stevie is the man! Don't bother to put any horse pics in the Lexington area, because there are NO horses in this area, the label "Horse Capital" is very misleading execpt in historical aspects. Lexington is in sad shape when it comes to history, there is little respect or presevation of it here. There are a few hosrses in surrounding towns. The only horses you will see in the city of Lexington are made of bronze or some other artist material. Lexington has been destroyed by developers that make there fortunes and move on they don't bother to live here with the disaters they have created. CasNytr Oct. 13, 2006

[edit] Project directory

Hello. The WikiProject Council has recently updated the Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Directory. This new directory includes a variety of categories and subcategories which will, with luck, potentially draw new members to the projects who are interested in those specific subjects. Please review the directory and make any changes to the entries for your project that you see fit. There is also a directory of portals, at User:B2T2/Portal, listing all the existing portals. Feel free to add any of them to the portals or comments section of your entries in the directory. The three columns regarding assessment, peer review, and collaboration are included in the directory for both the use of the projects themselves and for that of others. Having such departments will allow a project to more quickly and easily identify its most important articles and its articles in greatest need of improvement. If you have not already done so, please consider whether your project would benefit from having departments which deal in these matters. It is my hope that all the changes to the directory can be finished by the first of next month. Please feel free to make any changes you see fit to the entries for your project before then. If you should have any questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you. B2T2 19:02, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia Day Awards

Hello, all. It was initially my hope to try to have this done as part of Esperanza's proposal for an appreciation week to end on Wikipedia Day, January 15. However, several people have once again proposed the entirety of Esperanza for deletion, so that might not work. It was the intention of the Appreciation Week proposal to set aside a given time when the various individuals who have made significant, valuable contributions to the encyclopedia would be recognized and honored. I believe that, with some effort, this could still be done. My proposal is to, with luck, try to organize the various WikiProjects and other entities of wikipedia to take part in a larger celebrartion of its contributors to take place in January, probably beginning January 15, 2007. I have created yet another new subpage for myself (a weakness of mine, I'm afraid) at User talk:Badbilltucker/Appreciation Week where I would greatly appreciate any indications from the members of this project as to whether and how they might be willing and/or able to assist in recognizing the contributions of our editors. Thank you for your attention. Badbilltucker 22:09, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Discussion at WikiProject Kentucky

Just thought I should let members of this project know about this discussion going on at WikiProject Kentucky so you can weigh in. Acdixon 16:11, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Kentucky alerts

If you want to see current WikiProject Kentucky alerts, you can place the new {{WikiProject Kentucky alerts}} banner on your project and/or project talk pages. It can also be placed on your user page and/or user talk page. Thanks! Stevie is the man! TalkWork 17:18, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Add counties to WikiProject Bluegrass Region

I'm working on articles and images related to Mercer and Boyle counties. I'm going to add these counties to the project since they are located in the Bluegrass region and contain important historic sites in Danville and Harrodsburg. FloNight♥♥♥ 00:25, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] FA nom of Richard Mentor Johnson

Well, it actually took more than a week this time for someone to tell me that the article I revamped on Richard Mentor Johnson needs a thorough copy-edit before it can pass FA. I should just start all of my FA noms by opposing myself and saying the article needs to be copy-edited. As is usually the case, I fear I'm too close to the prose (since I wrote almost all of it) to clean it up effectively. Would someone (or multiple someones) care to have a look? While you're there, please leave any additional comments you may have on the article's nomination page. Thanks. Acdixon (talk contribs count) 12:52, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
