- Luciano Pavarotti, the opera singer who collaborated with U2 on several occasions (such as Miss Sarajevo), has passed away because of cancer.
- Adam Clayton has reached GA status!

- PopMart: Live from Mexico City is re-released on DVD worldwide (18 September in the US).
