From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Welcome to WikiProject U.S. Streets. Some Wikipedians have formed this collaboration resource and group dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of U.S. Streets and the organization of information and articles on this topic. This page and its subpages contain their suggestions and various resources; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians interested in the topic. [edit] Scope
The scope of this project is two-fold:
- To cover city streets that are not covered by WikiProject U.S. Roads
- To cover local (non-city) streets that are not covered by WikiProject U.S. Roads
Anything streets that are covered by the U.S. Roads WikiProject should remain in that project and not in not this project.
[edit] Goals
The main goal of this project is to work on city and local streets that do not fall under the scope of the U.S. Roads WikiProject and get them to Featured articles on Wikipedia. By removing these articles from the scope of WikiProject U.S. Roads, that not only clarifies what both projects are intended for, but creates a forum for users from city projects (such as WikiProject Philadelphia, WikiProject NYC) and the other roads projects.
