Wikiproject Free Music

[edit] Purpose

Obtaining permission for freely licensed, full-length free music
Uploading it and correctly tagging it
Making sure it gets added to related articles (song, composer, performer, etc); making sure those articles exist if notable
Cataloging it
Identifying, developing, and/or assisting in the development of tools to do the above.
Having a central place to discuss issues related to the above.
Getting people interested in doing this as well
