[edit] Dave Demay

Star Search Male Vocal Grand Champion - Singer - Songwriter - Producer - Publisher - Born July 3, 1962

Dave Demay is known to many as a gifted vocalist and songwriter who grew up in Fayetteville, NC, traveled to Europe, and then moved to Nashville, TN in the mid 1980's. Before moving to Nashville, he appeared and won several episodes on "You Can Be a Star", a nationally broadcasted talent program on The Nashville Network (TNN). Not long after that he was chosen to appear in L.A. on Ed McMahon's "Star Search" in 1989. After winning several episodes Dave Demay won the Male Vocal Grand Championship for the whole season of 1989.

After being seen by millions on Star Search, and having had a taste of what it was like to lose his anonymity, Dave made a deliberate choice not to pursue a high-profile artist career. Valuing his privacy, and desiring to live a somewhat normal day to day life, Dave chose to continue developing his musical career, while keeping what some call "a real job". Dave worked in computer technology, while maintaining a strong involvement singing in the studio, producing other artist projects, songwriting, and publishing.

After several years occupying senior positions in the technology field and buying a home in Nashville, Dave Demay decided it was time to make a break from the field of technology in order to focus on his first passion, which is of course producing, publishing and songwriting.

Dave Demay still lives in Nashville, TN, is very involved in the music community and has a full-production studio called SongCity Studios ( [1] ).
