[edit] Explanation of the Statistics Procedures Used

  • This a matched-pair T Statistics is to observe the edit usage intervals of Ksyrie and Yeahsoo.
  • H0 (null hypothesis): the difference between Ksyrie and Yeahsoo edits equal 4 or more hours.
  • Ha (alternative hypothesis): the difference between Ksyrie and Yeahsoo edits is less than 4 hours.
  • For Ksyrie, from mid-March to mid-February 2007, for Yeahsoo, mid-March 2007to early-December 2006; for each day, earliest and latest times of edit were used. For days with only one edit, the time was repeated.
  • 60 samples per user were used (total of 120).
  • To convert minutes to hours, this site was used.
  • Data input and calculations were done on Ti-84 Plus Silver Edition.
