This is a documentation subpage for Template:WikibreakSwitch (see that page for the template itself).
It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

This template is an easy-to-use template containing all of the common wikibreak templates in one, requiring only the change of one parameter to shut off, turn on, or change the message.

Simply state the template of your talk page or any sub-page and it will automatically display a message on the page. To change the message, just change the only parameter. Replace <status> with one of the following (case of value does not matter):

  • OFF: Shows the standard message saying the user uses this template, but is not on break and will change the template if they are.
  • ON: Shows the standard wikibreak template saying the user is taking a short wikibreak.
  • LONG: Shows the Long Wikibreak template signifying that the user is taking an extended wikibreak.
  • ATTEMPTING: Shows the Attempting Wikibreak template saying that the user is trying to take a wikibreak but will probably come back much sooner to make more edits.
  • BUSY: Shows the Busy template saying that the user is busy.
  • SCHOOL: Shows the Attempting School Wikibreak template showing that the user is trying to take a wikibreak because of school but will probably be back to make minor edits.
  • NOWEEKDAYS: Shows the Busy Weekdays template showing that the user has work or school and cannot make as many edits during weekdays.
  • COLLEGE: Shows the College Wikibreak template saying that the user is taking a wikibreak because they are going to college and will be back when school is out.
  • HEALTH: Shows the User Health Inactive template signifying that the user is having health issues and will be back in the near future.
  • VACATION: Shows the Vacation 3 template showing that the user has gone of vacation.
  • INTERNETUPGRADE: Shows the Upgrade template saying that the user is upgrading or changing their Internet and will not be available for a few days.
  • GROUNDED: Shows the Grounded template saying that the user has been grounded and will not be on Wikipedia for a while.
  • RETIRED: Shows the Retirement template saying that the user is retiring from Wikipedia.
  • BONK: Shows the Bonked template signifying that the user has "hit a wall" and is taking a short break.
  • PERSONALISSUES: Shows the Personal Issues template saying that the user is having personal issues and may be gone for an indefinite amount of time.
  • EXAMS: Shows the Exams template showing that the user is taking a wikibreak to study for exams.
  • HOLIDAY: Shows the Holiday template showing that the user is on holiday.
  • NOINTERNET: Shows the No Internet template saying that the user does not have Internet access and may be unavailable for a little while.
