Wifey and Jock is a website made to beat boredom in yawning situations. The idea was first aroused in 2007 when the creators, Jessica St John (Wifey) and Julia Novella (Jock), were bored in class and scanning gamesites for something good. Their came across www.bored.com and were inspired by its quality and decided that they were going to create the maddest website on the net. And they did.

The name, Wifey and Jock, was first created when Julia had a background on her computer of a cheerleader and a Jock. Immediantly they associated the high school sweet hearts with each other and decided to name themselves after the joke. Jess took the name of Wifey, for Julia had tried proposing multiple times with many rejections, and Jules took the name Jock, with the irony of Jess being an athletic freak.
