[edit] Purpose
The purpose of this template is to facilitate easy comparison among monitor sizes. Eventually, it could be placed on each article dealing with resolutions. However, I recognize it needs improvement to make it more readable. Captain Zyrain 17:41, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Precision
How much precision is needed in the percentages? Two significant digits? Right now we have four. Captain Zyrain 17:47, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
For the purposes of this table I don't think we need any more than two. I'm changing it. --74.46.213.148 (talk) 13:52, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] % more/less pixels
I am going to change it so that it says "% more/less pixels". That will be more useful than all these "N/A"s in those columns. Captain Zyrain 12:24, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, I'm going to make a header over that entire lot of columns with that, and just includ the comparison name underneath. Another change I'm going to make is to explain what "x" and "y" stand for. As this is mostly a numeric (and non currency based) listing, I'm going to centre align the columns for flow. If you dislike my edits, revert, but I feel these changes will improve the look. Oh, and I'm going to change the colours and look of it too. --lincalinca 04:03, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
- You are awesome. Thank you for your help. Captain Zyrain 10:48, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Who wrote these common uses?
The most common resolution for HDTVs is most commonly used for watching SDTV?? and "heavy-duty graphic design" doesn't sound very proper. I'm changing these. This also raises the question, what should go in this category? Or should this even be a category? In all the similar tables I've seen this category has been pretty pointless and inaccurate. --74.46.213.148 (talk) 13:39, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
