Why Do They Rock So Hard? is the third full-length release by the ska punk band Reel Big Fish. It is also their second release on Mojo Records, and the follow up to the album Turn the Radio Off. It was first released in late 1998, with a second pressing in 2001.

This is the first of only two Reel Big Fish albums where the line-up has not changed from the previous album, the other being Monkeys for Nothin' and the Chimps for Free.

Aaron has said on two interviews that this was his favorite album until the release of Our Live Album Is Better Than Your Live Album.
