White House Black Market is a popular American fashion store targeting women from 18-30. White House Black Market is known for its sleek lines, and its focus on white, black, and other variants of the two colors.
The first store White House, opened in Baltimore, Maryland in 1985. Eight years later, its sister store, Black Market opened. Due to the success of the two concept stores, the two stores were combined in 1997.when they found out how successful the store was, they spread across the nation.
In 2003, White House Black Market became a subsidiary of major American retailer, Chico's.
The store currently has over 200 retail stores across the country.
