Whippy shaft
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The term " Whippy Shaft " is used to describe the flexibility of the shaft of a golf club, pool cue, fishing rod or other objects that have similar attributes. A whippy shaft is an extremely flexible shaft of some object. The criteria for a shaft to be considered " Whippy " depends on the actual object being scrutinized. Some objects will have greater or less flexibilities than others, creating a subset of flexibility within the realm of that particular object.
The company TempoMaster creates a specific set of clubs that have been named Whippy. These clubs bend tremendously; much more than the average golf club.
Another example of a whippy Shaft would be a modern day Javelin
