The Whittemore Center has 6,101 seats, attendence is listed at 6,501 as they include the players, media, etc. for box score purposes. Additionally, for basketball they put down folding seats further increasing the capacity (will look for an exact number).
The arena may still be used for concerts after the Global Spectrum contract ends. The Lundholm Gymnasium, which has always been managed by the athletic department, has been frequently used for concerts, lectures, etc.
