Definitely merge. The main page should be the one with the name closest to wiki common use for other artists Thatcher131 02:50, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

I just went ahead with it. It seemed ridiculous to have two pages with the same content. This one was formatted better anyway. Iamvered 00:47, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Waiting To Exhale soundtrack

Why is the soundtrack to Waiting to Exhale listed as a WH album? She contributes only 3 songs to the album so I dont think it should be listed as one of her albums. With something like The Bodyguard, the album is absolutely associated with Whitney - she is the reason it sold 30 plus million. But that isnt the case with Waiting to Exhale. There were lots of high profile singles released from it...Rimmers 18:59, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

My god, Mariah fans, stop it! Only you care about it! Whitney contributed 3 songs, she was Executive Producer of the album, she was main actress in the movie! Still not enough Why is the soundtrack to Waiting to Exhale listed as a WH album?

[edit] Exxagerated sales

Seriously, this page needs some revamping. Somebody decided to boost sales of certain albums (Whitney Houston/The Bodyguard Soundtrack, etc.).

Shouldn't this be merged with the Whitney Houston article? Why do we need a separate page for her discography?

this page needs better organisation the tables are just messed up. I doubt the sales are boosted given that the sources given for them are quite recognisable. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.240.136.137 (talk) 07:04, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] OVER 200 MILLION RECORDS ???????

Well...over 200 million records sounds really false cause if it is 200 M then she sold more than Mariah and Celine ???? No way they are the only female artist who recieved from WMA for Best selling Female Artist Of All Time. Whitney sold 150 Million Records --90.148.21.251 (talk) 18:00, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

  • I know. Someone keeps inflating her record sales. She's sold over 170 million records. She still is one of the best selling female artists of all time. No need to inflate her sales.
  • C'mon, when WMA was for Mariah? 10 years ago? People still are buying Whitney records!

Well, check the source. Does it check out? 76.112.102.98 16:48, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

  • Mariah Carey has received sixteen World Music Awards, the most for any artist, the last WMA she received is in 2005 (she won 3). By the way, people are still buying Mariah & Whitney records! --90.148.21.251 (talk) 18:00, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Whitney's official site

Whitney's official site claim the Bodyguard sold 42 million and Waiting to exhale sold 13 million. it's right here: http://www.whitneyhouston.com/. This is the new and updated site.

  • No, it does not. The Bodyguard soundtrack has only sold 37 million copies while the Waiting To Exhale soundtrack sold 9.5/10 million worldwide.72.94.46.148 04:10, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
