[edit] Summary

Source: http://www.law.whittier.edu/

This image, which consists of an image of the Whittier Law School logo as well as a text depicting the law school's trademarked motto, is only used once in the Whittier Law School article, and then only to provide context to the information box at the head of the article. The image helps the reader identify the organization, and helps assure the reader that they have reached the correct article.

I have included the entire logo for this purpose, as well as to avoid tarnishing or misrepresenting the intended image.

I believe the logo is of a size and resolution sufficient to maintain the quality intended by the company or organization without raising infringement issues.

I believe that there is almost certainly no free equivalent, and that any substitute created by myself or another would either fail to convey the intended meaning, or would be so amateurish as to tarnish the good name of the institution discussed in the article.

In sum, I believe use of the logo in the article complies with Wikipedia's non-free content policy, logo guidelines, and fair use principles of United States copyright laws.
