From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Whetstone High School is a public high school located on the north side of Columbus, Ohio. It is a part of Columbus City Schools. The school opened in 1961.

The school's mascot is the Brave.

At school functions where the National Anthem is played students are known to rephrase the last line, yelling "And the Home of the BRAVES!"

The Whetstone football team improved their record this year to 6-4 winning three more games than last year. The team looked strong this year and should make it to the playoffs next season.

The boys finished 4th in cross-country at the city league championship in 2006. They finished behind Brookhaven, West, Eastmoor, and Northland. But, the braves are in contention again due to new recruits. In 2007 the cross country team finished second behind West High School for second place.
