"When Worlds Collide" is a single of the heavy metal band Powerman 5000 from their album Tonight the Stars Revolt!. It is one of the band's most well-known songs and has been used in the video games Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 and WWE Smackdown! vs. Raw, as well as in the movie Little Nicky. It is also used as Purdue University's entrance music for football games.
A song from Spongebob Squarepants also entitled 'When Worlds Collide' is probably a parody of the Powerman 5000 song. It must also be noted that there is a fictional rock band in Spongebob called 'Stingray 5000' which may be a parody of PM5K.
