"What Was I Thinkin'" is the debut single of American country music artist Dierks Bentley. Released in mid-2003 as the first single from his self-titled debut album, the song became his first Number One hit on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) charts in September of that year. It was also a minor Pop hit, peaking at number 22.
