[edit] About Me
My name is Amanda, and Im a highschool Junior in Cerritos CA. Im 17, and my goals after high school are to major in music education and political science (more specifically, either American Government, or International Affairs/Relations). I am currently active in multulple band and orchestral ensembles, and I also participate in Model United Nations (MUN).
My religious views consistantly change between Agnosticism and Atheism. Although I question the existance of G-d, and have no particular intrest in containing a religious identy, I am quite intrested in becoming more educated about multulple religions and sacred identities, including their sacred texts.
Generally, I am not an open person, although their are some that would beg to differ. My favorite food is chicken (with ranch), my favorite music is classical (more so from the classical era and beyond) and opera (germen and english), and my favorite alcoholic beverages are Don Jose Tequilla, Champagne, and Wine. I hate math, chemistry, (illicit) drugs, liars, bugs, and unfaithfulness. Other things I enjoy are, the computer and all its componets (ie: the internet), reading, practicing my instruments, composing music, score reading, spending time with my few wonderful friends (ie: Matt, Sarah, Kellie, Charles), and finally, staying up late partying, which leads to sleeping untill noon or so. Wonderful...except the hangover.
If their is something else you would like to know, please feel free to ask.
By the way, yes, I really do speak latin. But please do not ask me "how do you say....", because I will only make you look like a fool :)

- My Personal Daily Guidelines::
I am broken, but I am not deflected.
Hope is our life, and always says that tomorrow will be better.
Nobody should be punished for his thoughts.
No Person ought to have advantage from his own wrong.
The man who is constantly in fear is everyday condemend.
It is more crule to constantly fear death than to die.
Punishment closely follows crime as its companion.
Pay attention to nothing except to that you do well.
They condemn what they do not understand.
Today is yesterdays tomorrow that you were worried about.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal,love leaves a memory no one can steal.
Love is giving someone the ability to destroy you, but trusting them enough not to.
I have come to learn that people will forget what you say. And people will also forget what you do. But people will never forget, how you made them feel.
What hurts more than losing him is knowing that he wasn't fighting to keep me.
Hamlet: To be, or not to be- that is the question: Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them. To die- to sleep- No more; and by a sleep to say we end The heartache, and the thousand natural shocks That flesh is heir to. 'Tis a consummation Devoutly to be wish'd. To die- to sleep. To sleep- perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub! For in that sleep of death what dreams may come When we have shuffled off this mortal coil, Must give us pause. There's the respect That makes calamity of so long life. For who would bear the whips and scorns of time, Th' oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely, The pangs of despis'd love, the law's delay, The insolence of office, and the spurns That patient merit of th' unworthy takes, When he himself might his quietus make With a bare bodkin? Who would these fardels bear, To grunt and sweat under a weary life, But that the dread of something after death- The undiscover'd country, from whose bourn No traveller returns- puzzles the will, And makes us rather bear those ills we have Than fly to others that we know not of? Thus conscience does make cowards of us all, And thus the native hue of resolution Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought, And enterprises of great pith and moment With this regard their currents turn awry And lose the name of action.- Soft you now! The fair Ophelia!- Nymph, in thy orisons Be all my sins rememb'red.

- Fatima Prayer::
O Mi Jesu, Dimitte nobis debita nostra, Libera nos abigne inferni, Condue in caelun omnes animas, Praesertium illas quae maxime indigent misericordia tua. Amen
-
- Translation::
O my Jesus, Forgive us our sins, Save us from the fires of hell, Lead all souls to heaven, Especially those in need of thy mercy. Amen
PS: I speak Latin fluently. (Yes, the one that the romans used and that no one speaks. This is why my spanish sucks >.<)
