[edit] Wikification

I started to work on the page. Added a {{infobox:UK place}} template and started adding references and wikilinks. I removed the following text, as it currently seems unsourceable:

"The hamlet contains 21 households, twelve in Wharfe proper and nine in the surrounding countryside.

the twelve are; Sandford Grange, Grey Scarrs, Garth Cottage, Low Farm, Wharfe House, Manor House, Wood View, Midge Hall, Beacon Light, Fleet house, Wood view, Orchard Cottage.

The nine are; Wood End, Silloth House, Jop Ridding, White House, Far End House, Far End Lodge, Low Bark House, High Bark House & Newfield House. Fifty Years ago 7 of these were dairy farms but now only one is. Two others keep sheep but all the rest have stopped farming. - update in 2006 Edward Hird at Wood End gave up dairy to now do only sheep and beef cattle so there are no dairy farms at all in Wharfe."

I'll keep working on the article over the near term.  Doonhamer | Banter  21:02, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
