West San Jose is the westernmost neighborhood in San Jose, California. The Lynbrook High School area of West San Jose is bound to the north by Bollinger Road, to the east by Lawrence Expressway, to the south by Prospect Road, and to the west by De Anza Boulevard. The eastern boundary of San Jose City Council District 1 is at Winchester Blvd.[1]
Most of the housing was built in the 1950s as moderately priced housing. A few decades later, however, the neighborhood has gone upscale as the median housing value rose to nearly one million dollars.
