"Project Westford" doesn't belong in the Town of Westford page. Also, what happened to the government section. It has been entirely removed. Eh?

you can blame our librarian. she's trying to prove the point that we shouldnt use wikipedia because people can change stuff.
Wow. Mrs. Pietras is writing this page? Fantastic. As a long-long-ago former W.A. student who remembers Mrs. P. this gave me a laugh. She would be against Wikipedia on principle. The whole point of Wikipedia is that anyone can edit it and anyone can revert to an older page. You should tell her that using ANY encyclopedia as a source is poor scholarship- encyc's are just there to point you in the direction to far more rigourous primary sources. In any event, I removed and rearranged some of the pages slavish devotion to the Westford Knight (the page made it seem as if it was an actual historical fact) and mentioned some of Westford's cultural landmarks. To say that Westford has no "notable cultural" blah blah blah isn't really true.
[edit] Notable inhabitants
I added Edgar Allan Poe, Charles "Chip" Collins, and J. Geils to notable westford inhabitants and someone removed them. If a WBCN disk jockey is considered notable, surely these people are. If this vandal does not believe that Poe lived in Westford, then he has not seen the historical stone raven marker on Graniteville Road that says so!

Of course, they could also go see the "Westford Knight" marker for 'proof' the Viking visited Westford.

[edit] Removed paragraph on project westford
The following section was removed recently as not being notable and not cited. While it isn't cited, I don't agree it is not notable.
- Early in Kennedy's presidency, Project Westford, funded by the Air Force, became a brief issue in the United Nations. The Soviet Union was concerned with possible crowding of the ionosphere due to the launch of hundreds of millions of less than (~1/3) hair-thin, 1.5 inch long copper dipoles. These dipoles collectively provided passive support to Project Westford's parabolic dish (located in the town) to communicate with distant sites. Then UN Ambassador Adlai Stevenson studied the published journal articles on Project Westford. Using what he learned on the subject and citing the articles he had read, he successfully allayed the fears exhibited by the vast majority of UN ambassadors from other countries. He and the articles explained that sunlight pressure would cause the dipoles to only remain in orbit for a short period of approximately three years.
