[edit] History

The history of this shopping centre, as detailed on the Westfield site, is incomplete. In the late 80s there was a substantial redevelopment that was completed not long before the 28 Decemeber 1989 Newcastle earthquake that resulted in damage to the newly redeveloped centre. I haven't added this to the article because I can't find a citation for it. --AussieLegend 14:58, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

If you're in Newcastle, it might be worth getting out the history books (especially any on the earthquake) and seeing if they've got any info on it. I've been able to get quite a bit of history for the Canberra shopping centers from our history books, though I haven't put it in the articles yet. Rebecca 10:14, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
