[edit] Western Gray Squirrel (640 x 480)
This photo of a Western Gray Squirrel[citation needed] was taken just below the tree line on Mt. Roberts in Juneau, Alaska (near the upper tram station) on 23 August 2004 by me (Henry Hartley). It spent the morning dropping Sitka spruce (Picea sitchensis) cones on the metal roof of a small shed and then came down, picked them up and proceeded to eat the seeds.
