Left item: A Chinese bronze "hu" vessel, a ritual wine container with intricate cast decorations. From the Western Zhou Dynasty, dated c. 900 BC, discovered in Henan Province.

Right item: A Chinese bronze "gu" vessel, a ritual grain container with cast decorations and written inscriptions. From the Western Zhou Dynasty, dated c. 850-800 BC, discovered in Henan Province.
