[edit] Spoiler warning

This world features in two novels, but in the second, this is only revealed near the end and gives away a lot of what the author has intentionally been keeping mysterious.

Likewise knowing the connection with the second book gives you the outcome to the first, though this is less drastic.

People might also want to check out the two worlds called Werel, without having read either book and it's best not to spoil it for them.

The History of a world can not be assumed to give away the plot of books written there, in the same way that a book plot might be assumed to do.

Three people are intent on removing 'spoiler' while two of us think it is OK. Please let's discuss it here.--GwydionM 16:50, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
I see what you're saying, but I don't think I can agree. This world is completely fictional, so everything written about it must necessarily refer solely to the content of the books in which it appears. No reader of this article could possibly not expect to find discussion of the plot of the books. --Tony Sidaway 16:59, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

Articles on fictional characters can't possibly be encyclopedic if they don't give away "plot details"; these are an obviously necessary component of an encyclopedia article. Not expecting spoilers here is like expecting the article penis to not contain a picture of a penis. Kusma (talk) 17:20, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

An entry on a fictional planet may not give away anything important, it all depends on the story. I'm also wondering why you are so determined to root out 'spoiler' statements where they may be useful. What harm do they do?--GwydionM 17:33, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
Well encyclopedias only discuss the important stuff. If there weren't anything important about this planet, we'd probably delete the article or merge it somewhere else. --Tony Sidaway 17:39, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
I find that compelling reasons exist to include this spoiler tag, and, especially as the current spoiler guidelines are in dispute and should not be appealed to as authority, I have been bold and restored the spoiler warning.Wandering Ghost 11:08, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
I'll leave it in for now, but I don't think these tags really belong in descriptions of completely fictional characters. There is really little else to discuss about them except what is in the plot. --Tony Sidaway 15:50, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
