[edit] Campus for Christ

I came across this snippet:

"The Great Adventure -- Powerful testimony by Wendy Lawrence, NASA astronaut, on how her life was impacted by God through the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. (9:15 minutes)"" [1]

Not sure how to work it in. --No, I don't have an agenda here. Xiong 21:09, 2005 Mar 10 (UTC)

[edit] Clarification

I don't have an agenda in the above comment. I do have an agenda in this article in general: to uphold this example of a true modern hero. — Xiongtalk* 01:43, 2005 August 10 (UTC)

[edit] Background

More background needs to be obtained to make a case for mentioning it, I think. As it stands, we can't actually see the video or read a transcript, and thus know what exactly she said. It *is* notable to those who might want to find more info and document that here as part of her background, so Talk is the perfect place to mention it so others can pursue it, if desired.

[edit] Rank

As long as I know, she's a Captain and not a Commander. You can see it there: http://www.jsc.nasa.gov/Bios/htmlbios/lawrence.html. Barakandu, 27 sep 2006

[edit] NASA material? Copyright infringement?

Basically, much of this article seems to be directly from the official NASA biography (not just facts, but whole paragraphs). Is this acceptable? NASA seems to be okay with it as long as we clearly acknowledge the source: http://www.jsc.nasa.gov/policies.html#Guidelines VLE 11:24, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Ribbon of Promise

I am removing the anecdote about Ribbons of Promise, as well as the Reference link to it. The external link does not work, as the site has apparently not yet been created - and the anecdote reads like self-promotion. Maralia 04:29, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
