[edit] Cambro-Norman
Are there any Welsh historians knowledgeable on the Normans in Wales? Wikipedia badly needs an article on the Cambro-Normans. I have read about the younger sons of the Cambro-Norman gentry not having sufficient land or prospects in Wales following settlement of the country and expanding further afield as a result. This is where the impact upon Ireland comes in with the first Norman invasions being Cambro-Norman and only later (1172) did the Normandy-based King of England take control. But what was society like in Wales under the Normans? How much control had they and to what degree had they developed a sense of Welsh identity? El Gringo 18:49, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] River Daugleddau
I removed this from the "requested articles" list, because the Daugleddau estuary is covered under the recently-expanded "River Cleddau" article. Wikilinks to the Western and Eastern Cleddau have been diverted to this article, and it seems sensible that their common estuary should also be treated there.
