[edit] Weld County, Colorado area has changed

It's my understanding that, because Weld County gave a few square miles to the new Broomfield County, Weld is now 3999 square miles, down from what's in this article. New to wikipedia, I'm not yet quite sure the protocol for making such a change. I'll follow up.
