Description

You can find a postcard of Wellington with almost this same shot on it all over New Zealand. In the foreground, the red vehicle is one of the two Wellington Cable Cars The tall red and silver building to the right is the Majestic Centre, the tallest building in Wellington. The black building in the middle is the State Insurance building (was once the BNZ Centre Building) Behind the foreground buildings is downtown Wellington. The water to the left is Port Nicholson Harbour. The mountain immediately behind the city is Mount Victoria, where many good views and photographs are had. Behind that is the Rimutaka and Orongorongo Ranges, and behind that is the Wairarapa.
