Description

Arial view of Welland - 1930. The race-track area on the left is the old fair grounds (now a townhouse development). The closer vertical lift bridge is Birdge 14 (Lincoln Street - now replaced with a fixed concrete span). The more distant vertical lift bridge is Bridge 13 (Main Street - still exists). Just before bridge 13 is the Alexandria Bridge which was moved from Main Street to Division Street to allow room for the construction of Bridge 13.
