Talk:Weber State University

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Anyone have a problem with removing the link "Weber State University information (unofficial)?" the user added a similar link to other pages, seems to be an advertising page built with a template. --zZq 07:28, 28 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Seeing none I will remove the link. ZZq 08:31, 1 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Was founded as Weber Stake (yes with a K).

A Stake is a regional division of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints, similar to a Catholic Parish.

"In September 1888, the Weber LDS Stake Presidency organized the Weber Stake Board of Education with stake president Lewis W. Shurtliff elected as president of the board. The Weber Stake Board advertised that in January, 1889, the Weber Stake Academy would begin offering classes, with Louis Moench, then serving a mission in Germany and Switzerland, as principal." [edit] Who is Mitchell L. Shaw

Who is Mitchell L. Shaw? Can anyone confirm that a Shaw went to WSU or that he is a "famous international playboy"?

Yes, He is... I saw him the other day

[edit] Wildcat

I am fixing the "Wildcat" links per WP:DPL. Noticing from earlier edits that most schools / universities using the word "wildcat" actually had a bobcat, i assumed that this what is meant here too, and i therefor edited the link that way. If this was wrong, please see Wildcat (disambiguation) for the correct link, and edit the links in this article accordingly. - - 'twsx'talk'cont' 13:38, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
