Talk:WebWork

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Is WebWork actually an Apache top level project? I couldn't find the project listed on the Apache website.[1]Tokek 21:29, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

WebWork now has grown into Apache Struts 2, but WebWork itself was not an Apache project, so this page ought to be renamed back to "WebWork". Cf. [2]

The result of the proposal was Move. I'll follow the Dekimasu's suggestion of reverse-merge rather than straight move. Duja 11:13, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

'WebWork' is a product by OpenSymphony, not by Apache. While WebWork 2 later evolved into 'Apache Struts 2', there never was any product named 'Apache WebWork 2', and WebWork currently still exists as a separate project [3]. Also, this is the general article about WebWork, so there doesn't seem to be any reason why the title should reflect any particular version of WebWork. I thus suggest renaming this article back to 'WebWork'. Gdm 15:47, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

  • Support - And I guess WP:COMMONNAME will answer for those who think should be OpenSymphony WebWork 2. --Eye of the Mind 22:40, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
  • The page histories are all mixed up. Most of the history for the page is already at WebWork, and this page has only a few revisions and slightly different information. If that isn't needed, you can just restore the other title and redirect this page there. Dekimasuよ! 06:35, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
