I'm Eric Weaver, an American-born branding and marketing specialist.

I'm a long-time online junkie. I first began surfing bulletin board systems and the early Internet in 1978, later becoming a charter member of AOL in 1990. That fascination led to me helping build many of the first corporate websites in the mid-1990s. My web clients have included BMW, Brita, De Beers, Level 3, Lincoln, Mattel, MCI, Mayo Clinic, Mercury, P&G, and the US Department of Commerce.

I've helped maintain the Open Directory Project, but find their system extremely restrictive and subjective. I'm new to Wikipedia and am helping to maintain the encyclopedia where and when I can.
